James is quite probably flopped on a couch in one of the rooms at Grimmauld Place, morosely studying the ceiling. He's certainly not going to seek out Lily -- though he might try and find Sirius later, once he's finished nursing his metaphorical wounds. Anyway, if anyone would like to find James, he can be found.
